Repair Utility for Windows Update

The Repair Utility for Windows Update is an NT batch script that provides a menu with multiple options to repair the Windows Update process. For inclusion in logon scripts and other batch processes, the script optionally accepts command line arguments. View the menu first to see the list of numeric options which can be used as arguments. 

From the Help Menu:

         Repair Level 1

          Performs a general repair of Windows DLL registrations by
          calling REGSVR32 on a list of DLLs indirectly associated
          with the Windows Update process.

         Repair Level 2

          Performs an extended repair of Windows DLL registrations
          by calling REGSVR32 on a list of DLLs directly associated
          with the Windows Update process.

         Repair Level 3

          Performs a directory cache flush on 'softwaredistribution'
          and 'catroot2'. These folders are used to catalog downloads
          for the Windows Update engine.
