Place a shortcut to 'My Computer' in the Start Menu; call it 'system'.
This is useful when you have multiple applications
open and need to access files from the hard-drive.
You can also create a HOT KEY for this shortcut so
that you can access it faster.
Create an 'base' folder and make it in the root directory.
Applications that do not require installation can be placed in a
single folder and used to quickly restore your system in the event
of an OS reinstallation. If you don't use multiple drive partitions,
you may want to back up this directory to an external media source.
Make a folder in the Start Menu with shortcuts to the applications.
This folder can also be restored quickly if you place the base
directory in the same location eg(c:\base) on each restore.
