Windows NT 4.0 and Internet Explorer 5.0
After you use Internet Explorer to dial automatically to connect to your
Internet service provider (ISP) using a modem or other dial-up connection
and try to view Internet sites, you may not be able to find sites.
Instead, you may receive one of the following error messages:
- The page cannot be displayed.
- Cannot find server or DNS error.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x Title Bar
Some people have been asking "How is the MSIE Title Bar Labeled."
Many callers have installed AOL on top of GTE and now the MSIE bar
reads "GTE Internetworking AOL...etc." The fix is to either go
into the system registry [regedit] and edit a string or make a text
file with the *.reg extention then execute it. The file would be
a verbatim copy of the following:
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
"Window Title"="Specialized Systems"
Note that the tailing line breaks are required. To manually edit
the string, follow the path listed above and edit the string for
"Window Title".
How to Disable Content Advisor in Internet Explorer
The following steps will remove any password set in the Content Adivisor and allow you to reset the program to its original state.
- Click on Start and choose Run.
- Type in RegEdit and select OK.
- Now click on the little plus sign to the left of H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
- Continue to drill down, always clicking on the plus sign at the left of the named key, through Software, Microsoft, Windows, Current Version and Policies.
- Now click on the Ratings folder.
- In the right pane of the RegEdit window, you'll see an icon called Key. Click on it and press Delete.
- Next, choose Registry and then Exit to exit RegEdit. You've just deleted your original Content Advisor password.
- Restart the computer and run Internet Explorer again.
- Choose View and then Internet Options (or Options for version 3.x)
- Click on the Content tab and click on Disable. When asked for a password, don't enter anything; just click on OK. This will disable Content Advisor because there's no longer a password.
